When we visit Manhattan, we usually pass by the mouthwatering display of freshly baked goods at Breads Bakery in Rockefeller Center. Recently, we stopped by with a question: What happens to the perishable goods that are not sold? The lovely attendant shared that they donate their unsold items to homeless shelters. This is exactly the kind of business we love to support—one that not only creates delicious food but also gives back to the community. We enjoyed a huge whole wheat pretzel, the most moist chocolate chip cookies, and other delicious desserts. They were so good, we forgot to take pictures! Everything tasted fresh, flavorful, and perfectly balanced—not overly sweet, just the way we like it. Next time you are in the city, stop by and check them out. Support businesses that serve great food and make a positive impact.

So much yumminess in one place. The pastries are soft, airy and have a honeycomb texture. No wonder they won so many croissant awards. Absolute perfection.

Breads Bakery never disappoints! Their chocolate babka is rich, perfectly swirled, and absolutely worth the hype, and the carrot cake is incredibly moist and flavorful. Unsurprisingly, the chocolate babka was sold out, so I settled for the banana chocolate chip cake instead. If it’s anything like everything else they make, I know it’s going to be amazing!
