8 a.m. We had just arrived in Brooklyn the day before and decided to have breakfast with an amazing view of Manhattan. The weather is nice, unusually spring-like for April. Breakfast included American coffee and cinnamon rolls, and croissants for the members of my tribe. Honestly, the vacation is starting off very well with this French-style breakfast New York version before wandering on the Brooklyn Bridge. Very nice place!!

So happy they opened a Bread’s location in Dumbo, some of the best babka and rugelach but also amazing savory options like the cheese straw and olive baguettes. Can’t wait to start stopping here before picnics in the park!

#NewYork #Breads_Bakery "A franchise bakery that makes quite high-quality bread" It is a small bakery that started in 2012 at Union Square in New York, famous for its authentic European-style artisan bread, and especially known as the place that makes the best babka in New York. Actually, the reason I visited this place was because it was a kiosk-style store that caught my eye while strolling through Brooklyn Bridge Park, and the breads looked better than I expected, so I simply ordered a bread and coffee. The coffee is medium roast and tastes good without being polarizing, and it suited my taste very well, becoming a warm hangover coffee on a cold spring morning in New York. I ordered a cinnamon roll for the bread, and even though I ate it without heating it up, I could taste the quality of well-made bread from a high-end bakery. It was just a simple experience once, but next time I visit, I definitely want to try the most famous babka and various other breads.

Blown away by the chocolate babka. It has the perfect combination of firmness and moisture and is not dry. A truly perfect snack option if you’re hosting people over for tea. I have heard of babka for years but never gotten around to eating it and I’m so glad Breads Bakery was my first babka experience. Absolutely delicious and I will be back.

I tried the chocolate babka at 1pm on Saturday and really liked it. No line up on a cold winter morning. Slice of chocolate babka was $5.95 and very rich, good chocolate flavour, and not too dense. Birbs will line up, very excited to wait for crumbs to drop. Great views of the Brooklyn bridge.

Helpful and delightful man in a beanie kept my credit card safe after I bought their entire stock of Babka bread. The 24 loaves I acquired between this bakery and the other one in Lincoln did not go to waste. They were delicious and chocolatey enough to distract from my initial panic to find my credit card—barely shed a tear or a drop of sweat, twas only mouthwatering goodness. They have my loyalty until Time’s end and onwards. Bless the beanie bakery man and his brethrens and breaderens.

This has been such a welcome addition to Brooklyn Bridge Park! Near the Fulton St Ferry stop, this little outpost offers some of the most delectable baked goods in the area with a great view of the lower Manhattan skyline and the Brooklyn Bridge. Their chocolate babka is to die for; they offer great scrambled egg sandwiches on incredibly fresh poppy and sesame seed rolls (get there early! they sell out!); their babka pizza is savory & slightly sweet with a little bit of a kick; wonderful croissants and cinnamon rolls, plus coffees and hot chocolate. Everything served quickly and with a smile from the super friendly staff there. I can't count the number of times we've stopped there for ourselves, and also to get chocolate babkas as gifts for friends. We love it!
