This place has provided me with some of the most delicious pastries..I've ever eaten..I've moved out of NYC..but that taste hasn't moved from my memory..if they do shipping..im getting ready to be real happy..cause i intend to order all of my favorite pastries 🍰..Yeah !!

Absolutely adore their babka!!! Best babka I have tried so far. I’m definitely coming back to try other breads and pastries! Went back again to get babkas for Passover. Still the best babka in the city!!

Breads Bakery has several locations in the City. This is my first time at this one on East 75th Street. After a spot of shopping, I was looking for a cafe and the one I wanted was a little further away. When I saw Breads I decided to get a cappuccino and a cinnamon roll. Awa, a young girl from Senegal, was the barista who greeted me in Hindi after I spoke to her in French which she doesn't speak. Awa was pleasant. With my loyalty card I have one more coffee to buy and then I will get the next one free! Thus cafe is filled with customers and different from the Union Square location. Two tables with seating is outside.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The Best Israeli Bakery on the Upper East Side — No Question This Israeli bakery is the real deal. The second you walk in, the smell of fresh challah, bourekas, and rugelach hits you — warm, buttery, and impossible to resist. It feels like stepping into a neighborhood bakery in Tel Aviv. Everything tastes incredibly fresh and homemade. The challah is soft, slightly sweet, and perfectly fluffy. The bourekas are flaky with generous, flavorful fillings. The babka is rich and indulgent without being overly sweet. And the rugelach? Absolute perfection — delicate, buttery, and just the right balance of chocolate or cinnamon. The coffee is strong and smooth, the staff is warm and welcoming, and the whole place has that comforting, family-run feel where you know they truly care about what they’re serving. The owner clearly puts their heart and soul into this place. You can see the passion, the effort, and the commitment to quality in every detail. Anyone who doesn’t believe in that vision probably isn’t the right fit — and that’s okay. The team here now feels aligned, motivated, and it truly shows in both the service and the overall experience. Whether you’re grabbing something quick, picking up treats for Shabbat, or just craving authentic Israeli pastries, this bakery is a must. Easily one of the best spots on the Upper East Side. I’ll definitely be coming back — probably way too often.

I’ve been coming to Breads Bakery for years, and tonight was special. The team was amazing and genuinely kind, even as they were getting ready to close. Everything was absolutely delicious (as always). Thank you for ending my day on such a sweet note!
